strongboi is a project born in Berlin as a passion project between two close friends Ziv & Alice. Starting with a lo-fi vision of using mainly casio keyboards & drum machines, strongboi has now evolved into a full band project that still emulates it’s lo-fi beginnings. The live shows now takes you on a journey from disco dance tunes to jazzy ballads, with backing vocals and heavy funky bass.
Having released 3 singles in 2020 that put them on the map, strongboi returned in 2022 releasing 3 new singles that became part of their self-titled 2023 debut album. The album was recorded at their studio La Pot, where the band also recorded a couple of live sessions on to tape. The album is a fun and wild offering from the duo, spanning many styles and influences but very much their own.
This year strongboi went on their first headline tour in Europe, playing sold out shows in Berlin, Paris and London (amongst others) with their 6 piece band. They released a new single, “magic”, together with a music video and went on to perform their first headline shows in Tokyo and Los Angeles (also sold out).
They are currently performing a handful of shows in Europe, including Reeperbahn Festival where they have been nominated for the Anchor Awards, and gearing up for the release of their sophomore album early next year.
